Delivered projects
Before it was a website,
it was built.
Mining, energy, rail, healthcare and building services. A selection of projects delivered over the past fifteen years — structural analysis, HVAC, pumping, mechanical design and field inspection. It is the same engineering that answers when you ask which air conditioner to buy.
Every image comes from a delivered project. Client identification and contractual data have been removed from the drawings.
Pumping and hydraulics
From abrasive slurry in a tailings basin to the cold water main of a building, the maths is the same: flow, head, NPSH and the pump's real curve.

Tailings basin pumping system
Slurry discharge system: pump selection, pipe routing and NPSH check with the abrasive wear of the material accounted for.
AutoCAD
Cold water pressure boosting
Building booster set modelled in BIM — head, pump curve and pipe supports all come out of the same model, with no surprises during installation.
RevitStructural analysis and finite elements
A whole portal frame or a single weld: the criterion does not change. Load combinations, code checks and, where the case calls for it, finite element analysis.

Steel shed structural analysis
Frames, bracing and connections checked against load combinations. The map shows displacements up to 11.6 mm and a utilisation ratio U = 0.88 at the critical connections.
CYPE 3D
Falling object protective structure (FOPS)
Virtual test to ISO 3449: impact simulated by finite elements on the cab, with a maximum total deformation of 7.52 mm at the roof.

Lifting lug verification
Von Mises stress on the lug and its reinforcement plate — a 142.7 MPa peak, with a stated margin over the yield strength of the specified steel.

Sports lighting tower
Structural design of the tower and its movable maintenance platform — from the 3D model to the assembled unit in the field, with the operator on board.
InventorAir conditioning and ventilation
Cooling load calculated per space, not per square metre. A factory canteen, an electrical substation and an office each demand a different answer.

Industrial canteen air conditioning
Cooling load with occupancy and kitchen combined, equipment selection and condenser placement coordinated with the architecture and with maintenance access.
Revit
Canteen duct network
Duct routing, flexible connections and diffusers coordinated with the roof structure — the clash shows up in the model, not on site.
Revit
Electrical substation air conditioning
A space whose cooling load is dominated by equipment: supply, return and redundancy sized for continuous operation, with no planned shutdown.
RevitMechanical and process design
Equipment drawn to be manufactured: drive, geometry, sealing and detailing at the level the fabrication shop needs to start cutting plate.

Belt conveyor and transfer chute
Mechanical design of the conveyor, its drive and the transfer chute geometry — detailing delivered ready for fabrication.
Inventor
Effluent gates
Mechanical and process design of the gates: actuation, sealing and structure sized for the water column and the operating regime.
RevitInspection, reports and utilities
A design never verified in the field is only a drawing. Manufacturing follow-up, acceptance testing and utility networks with codes of their own.

Factory acceptance testing
Incoming inspection of hydraulic valves: runout and flange flatness measured with a dial indicator before the equipment ships to site.
FAT · ASME
Hospital medical gas network
Detailed design of the plant room and the distribution of oxygen, compressed air and nitrous oxide: cylinder shelter, outlet stations, alarm panel and bill of materials.

Public recommendations written by directors, managers and project colleagues across mining, energy and industrial construction. None of them edited.
I had the privilege of leading engineer Luiz Paulo Cruz on challenging, highly complex projects, and I can state with confidence that he is a highly competent professional, proactive and committed to technical excellence. Luiz Paulo has solid knowledge of mechanical engineering, particularly in industrial piping systems, equipment installation and construction coordination.
I highly recommend Luiz Paulo as a Mechanical Engineer. We've worked together for over 3 years on several projects, where he consistently delivered high-quality work across mechanical, hydraulic, and structural disciplines. He brings strong technical skills and clear, effective communication from concept to detailed design projects. A reliable and valuable team member for any company around the globe.
I work with Luiz Paulo Cruz within the same Engineering department. Luiz Paulo has a great deal of experience in design as well as in industrial plant construction and operations. With that experience he has been helping our department overcome difficulties in design definitions and in the guidelines for equipment performance testing. A highly qualified professional.
Luiz is a technically exemplary professional. During my time as a designer on his team he always showed complete command of every challenge assigned to us. And he always took the initiative to teach those still in training — my own case — the right way to do mechanical engineering. He has a strong command of calculation reports and is a good team leader.
An excellent professional, standing out for his technical knowledge, his discipline and his team management.
Luiz Paulo is a versatile, multidisciplinary professional with an excellent grasp of engineering and innovative techniques. Besides being technically excellent, he masters and picks up new software and methodologies with ease. He works very well in a team and delivers what he promises.
Your case
Your problem is probably smaller than these. The maths is the same.
The criterion that sizes the air conditioning of a substation is the one that sizes the unit in your bedroom: the applicable code, the real load and equipment chosen by number, not by guesswork. Describe what you need and I reply within 24 hours.
